Do not be afraid to even start doing what you want. Starting is a hard thing to do. If you like writing have a notebook you can scribble--at first--anytime you feel writing. It is okay to write down unrelated sentences; just write what is on your mind and you will be amaze at where random thoughts can lead you. If it is drawing that you like, still bring a sketch book with you and scribble if time permits. The trick there is to free your mind to start.
Shut your mouth and your mind open. Being creative means having a good imagination. Creativity is not something that only a few posses; it is in everyone of us as long as you keep your mind open to any possibility. Also rather than blab on what you cannot do try on things you like and forget about what is already known on what you can do. There is a lot of potential in you waiting to be discovered.
Practice and practice and practice. Great artists will tell you that better artwork if not perfect is a product of practice and practice. Practicing is like rolling a knife on the whet stone--it sharpens the knife. Practice is fine tuning your talent or skill.
So what are you waiting for? Get those notebooks or sketch pads and release the artist in you!
