Five Search Techniques To Avoid

1. No invisible keywords: When you are advised to have a keyword-rich site that does not mean having keywords in same color as the background. It is an old trick and search engine sites are now automatically scanning for this and penalize sites by dropping them off the database from a specific time. As for your visitors, they find it annoying landing on the page not relevant to their search.

2. No excessive keyword placement: Because search engines go by keywords, other webmasters get high relevance by repeating the keywords in rows of META tags or content. This is regularly used and the result if the editors find out is to penalize the site by banning your site. Search engines now filters sites with excessive keywords. As for your visitors, excessive repetition of keywords may lower their opinion of your site and lessen the chance of a repeat visit.

3. No irrelevant keyword or content: It is good to have a themed site rather than a general one. Other webmaster check out the certain keywords that have high value then use it in their site even if it isn’t related. If you do this you are driving wrong people to your blog or website.

4. No link farms: Would be irritating looking for apple pie recipes and ending up in a page full of links? Well, some webmasters put up or submit their sites to link farms to boost link popularity and rank high in search engine search. Search engines are slowly hunting up these farms so to avoid penalty don’t do it.

5. No invisible links: If others could think of invisible keywords posted on your website or blog then they could think of invisible links as well. This time, doing this boost link popularity. And as with numbers one to four, if you are found out your site will be banned.
