Increase Blog Readership

Traffic to your blog or site is very important because more traffic means increased possibility of people clicking on your adverts and that means more money to you.

Know your readers. Select your target people of who you wish to visit your blog or site. If you are on a business, knowing your readers is finding your target customers.

Build a solid reputation. This is where quality content comes in. If you offer unique content not easily found elsewhere then you are most likely to gain readership from a lot of people to your blog or site.

Update regularly. Fresh content on your blog creates returning readers. It need not be everyday but not also every month; more of at most every two weeks. Make sure you post good articles on your site.

Write for the Web. Online readers are different from book readers. Most online readers have short attention span. If your paragraphs carry more than like six sentences, they may find it long to read. Web readers are skim readers. Keep your paragraphs short--write like an 8th grader.
Remember the keywords. People use search engines more often and you can take advantage of that by spreading targeted keywords your articles. New readers will find you because you got keywords that matched the reader's search.

Increasing blog readership requires you to know what your target readers are, building a solid content properly writing for the web, and update regularly with targeted keywords.

OpenShot is an open source video editing soft. Adding subtitles and captions is quite tricky. Adding subtitles takes effort. Suggestions by GeekOutdoors - You can have the soundwave form displayed so you know where the talking and pausing occurs. - You also use the green marker to help you decide how long the subtitle should be shown. - Encode the subtitles in Notepad so you can easily copy and paste it later on - Turn off the snapping tool which is on by default; to remove subtitle overlap For captions, GeekOutdoors, - used footer text, shortened the duration to like 3 seconds - if you want advanced editing of the text, you will need to download and link Inkscape to OpenShot Check out  basic OpenShot tutorial  or  list of OpenShot tutorial .
