Are you going to find work immediately after you graduate or will you go travelling around the world?
Go find a job immediately when you are off from school? That may be nice: you will be earning money just when your parents stopped giving your allowance. The prospect of earning is very attractive; it could mean you will be buying that mobile phone you have been dying to have--of which your parents insists is a waste of money; your old mobile phone is still functional why buy a new one. If you have work, you think of all that money can buy and it excites you.
Or will you go or do what you want (have a vacation perhaps or just spend the time with your friends until you get bored)? Once you step into the corporate world it will be work and work from there on. Vacation leave won't be enough to enjoy your youth or have the fun of your life. There is no better time to immerse yourself with the joys of living until you do all you want. But also you are faced with the fact that you are broke and even the fare going to your friends' house will be a problem.
Here is a suggestion: avoid applying for a full time job after you graduate from school. Spend half the time enjoying the moments with your friend and half the time working to fuel your expenses.
