Bloggers Posts Can Shout Plagiarism

Information being readily available in the web can make it easy to copy some other person's ideas. You may do it intentionally or accidentally.

Plagiarism is taken from a Latin word meaning kidnapping. It is when you use someone's idea as your own.

How would you know you need to acknowledge the source? Ask yourself if you knew about that information before you read about it in an article on the web or elsewhere. If no then write the source.

How about common knowledge. Still ask youself would you have known about it without someone tell you.

If you interpret or use your own word based on what your understand about an article and include it in your work is called paraphrasing; paraphrasing is way different from plagiarism. Paraphrasing is not rearranging the sentence or substituting some words with its synonyms.

About 10 years ago, article spinning was one of the ways to create more content. Write one article and an article spinner makes about 5-10 versions of the same content though word substitution. This is still around 10 years after I first heard about it.

Free Article Spinner
Spin Bot

And if you want to check plagiarism, there is Copyscape.

OpenShot is an open source video editing soft. Adding subtitles and captions is quite tricky. Adding subtitles takes effort. Suggestions by GeekOutdoors - You can have the soundwave form displayed so you know where the talking and pausing occurs. - You also use the green marker to help you decide how long the subtitle should be shown. - Encode the subtitles in Notepad so you can easily copy and paste it later on - Turn off the snapping tool which is on by default; to remove subtitle overlap For captions, GeekOutdoors, - used footer text, shortened the duration to like 3 seconds - if you want advanced editing of the text, you will need to download and link Inkscape to OpenShot Check out  basic OpenShot tutorial  or  list of OpenShot tutorial .
