  1.  Vimeo has creative commons portion where you can get videos to remix. You can also use public domain videos. 
  2. YouTube also has that same creative common option. You use search then click on the filter on the left column and tick creative commons. The search will show you videos you can remix. To verify, you can check on description of the video and at the bottom is a the license and you can read creative commons
