How to Write YouTube Description



Here some suggestions on how to write your YouTube description

  • video description is to inform the viewer and for the YouTube algorithm
  • includes keywords in first 2 sentences
  • don't duplicate your title in your description
  • first 3 slides are seen as excerpt
  • include bio about yourself
  • add call to action
    • direct to book
    • link to mech you sell
    • link to other social media
  • use hashtags
  • avoid long keywords
  • tag should be relevant and accurate
  • 6-12 tags suggested
    • focus on words and phrases
  • cross reference other videos for ideas
  • provide context

OpenShot Add Music or Sound Effects

In OpenShot, you can delete the audio of your video and replace it with another one. You can right click on the video click and select separate video. Or you can click the video and let the audio mute. There is option to fade in and fade out for the audio.
